I decided to begin writing Out of Time back in 1997 because I was interested in all those conspiracy theories about Roswell in 1947 and JFK's assassination. I'm really into history, so I wanted to link those two ideas with some others and make it a time travel novel, that ends up being an alternate history novel. For the longest time I wrote it for myself and then got sick of it because I nitpicked it to death and decided to get it published, which I did this year.
