Hannah Alane | 662 comments As I say with all of Hawthorne's stories - that was different. But I never mean his stories as a bad different- just beautifully unique. He had a rich imagination, hadn't he?

What stuck out to me to most was when Adam and Eve were in the library and Hawthorne compared it to the cursed fruit of knowing good and evil. And then said, if Adam were to make mistakes, at least they would be his own not someone else's that he read about.

I liked too how he mentioned Adam and Eve's life was one continual prayer due to their purity...…. That's a happy thought, isn't it?
