Bridgetla | 2 comments Hello,

I’d like some help please to name a lighthearted romance book I read on holiday last year. It has a pretty front cover, flowers etc.

The main character (aged 40+) moved back to her fathers house after she accidentally murdered her neighbour by hitting him on the head with a heavy cast iron frying pan. It’s a big old house, full of eccentrics, an old uncle, a ?sister who is part of a witches coven and has lots of crystals (who later falls in love with the new vicar), and fathers latest mistress. The mistress is abit dim and has twin daughters. There’s a house at the end of the garden which the family rent out to a rockstar, he has a young daughter. Also in the village there’s a children’s pre-school with some strange practices. There’s always food being cooked and at the end of the book there’s some recipes, including white mice which are hidden on Christmas Eve. Any ideas?

Bridgetla | 2 comments Yes that’s exactly it, just a slightly different cover to the one I read. Thankyou so much, that’s been driving me mad! X
