Caitlin (ghiblireads) | 88 comments Hello everyone! After a few years of reading maybe 3-5 books a year I decided I was going to change that in 2020. My original goal was 10 but seen as I am currently on my 10th book i decided to raise it to 20 - if I can read 10 in the first half of the year I should be able to do the same again in the second half! But even if I dont, i’m still proud of the progress I’ve already made :)

My books so far are:

1. Dark Skies: A Journey Into The Wild Night - 3.5/5 stars
2. The Child Finder - 3/5 stars
3. Tales Of The City - 4.5/5 stars
4. The Night Circus - 5/5 stars
5. Radio Silence - 4/5 stars
6. The Binding - 3.5/5 stars
7. Two Can Keep A Secret - 5/5 stars
8. Bridget Jones’s Diary - 4/5 stars
9. The Last True Poets Of The Sea - 4.5/5 stars

I’m currently reading The Starless Sea which I have around 100 pages left of so i’ll be finished with that soon!

Let me know if you have any book recommendations or if you’ve read any of the same books as me this year - I would love to know your thoughts!

Caitlin (ghiblireads) | 88 comments I forgot to post this when I finished it but-

11. Animal Farm - 4/5 stars

A nice short book - I think it has a really important message thats still relevant today.

Ilona | 4698 comments I love Erin Morgenstern‎'s writing, happy to see you enjoyed her books as well :) Best of luck with the second half of your reading challenge!

Caitlin (ghiblireads) | 88 comments Eeek! I’ve been in a reading slump recently! I also took a trip and didn’t have any books with me to read but the day I got home I started (and quickly finished) my 12th book of the year! I’m on track to hit 20 which is super exciting :)

12. One Of Us Is Next by Karen McManus - 4.5/5 stars

I really enjoyed this book which is why I finished it so fast haha but I’m currently just over halfway through Clap When You Land which I’ll hopefully have finished by the weekend!

Caitlin (ghiblireads) | 88 comments I finished my next book faster than I expected:

13. Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo - 4/5 stars

This was a really great book & the way it’s written is super fun and makes it very easy to read!

Not too sure what my next book will be yet

Caitlin (ghiblireads) | 88 comments Finished my next book!

13. All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban - 2.5/5 stars

This was actually my lowested rated book of the year so far which sucks, but hopefully the next is one I enjoy more

Caitlin (ghiblireads) | 88 comments I haven’t updated here for a while because I haven’t been doing great so I haven’t been reading as much. But last month I did finish book 15!! This means i’ve hit my goodreads goal and there’s still a possibility I could get to 20 but i’m not going to be hard on myself if I cant get there - I’m proud of my 15 books read.

15. Six Stories by Matt Wesolowski - 4/5 stars

The good news is that I really enjoyed this book - especially the podcast element. If you like murder mystery or supernatural stuff I would definitely recommend it.

Caitlin (ghiblireads) | 88 comments Book 16 complete!! I’m going to try and read at least another 2 books this year as it looks like i’m not going to get to 20 sadly.

16. Sadie by Courtney Summers - 4/5 stars

This book is exactly what I love so I really enjoyed it! The ending felt a little rushed and I just didn’t like the conclusion but overall it was a great read.

Chasity hi Cait, find some nice this books to compete your challenge if you like. I know
kindle has some short stories from various authors, one or two may be from someone you like. dean koontz has several that are around 60 pages.
