Courtney (andforamoment) | 310 comments You went to some website and agreed to this and so basically the site lets you "talk" with them. I think the MC was talking to her friend or boyfriend. It's not really your mind is being uploaded but think more Chatbots I guess?

Courtney, thanks for unprivating your profile. This will help the moderators.

What's the genre or tone - e.g., YA science fiction, fantasy, suspense, mystery, romance?

It's fine as long as people aren't creepy. I don't like that it makes you say where in the US you are. Unless there’s a way to not have that I’m going private again. Nobody need my location.

Thanks. Odd that they even ask for your zip code.

Asia | Adventures with Asia Minor (booknerd117) | 210 comments Honestly the only book I can think of that has a similar scene is The Toll by Neal Shusterman, at the end . . . but I doubt this is what you were looking for

Jo | 183 comments Courtney, I’ve read something v similar recently (I think we have similar tastes :)). My book was about a woman who lost her beloved grandma (I think) and her partner (I think x2) worked out a way to turn the grandma’s digital footprint into an online persona the woman could talk to. They ended up running a business on these lines. It wasn’t YA tho afaik. Might this be your book?

Sadly I never finished the book. If you can remember the name though that would be great!
