Sure! Why not? Just specify that yours is published :)
On second thought, I'll open a new thread for published works. Give me a second, B :)

FTC: Federal Trade Commission. How do you disclose this? Does the author disclose this or does the reader?

I've done a couple of these reviews for authors, and since I'm in the habit of proof-reading for my wife, I'm able to let the authors know about any mistakes I find. If I do find them, and note them in the review, I also advise that I passed the details back to the author for revision.

I see. Like a disclaimer comparable to "no animals were harmed in the making of this picture" or "these opinions are expressly those of X and do not reflect our opinion in the slightest".
Abigail wrote: "Right. If you read reviews of other authors, the earliest ones usually have the disclaimer."
Thank you :) I'll be sure to conform to this :)

Thanks for pointing this out - i didn't know that. Looks like i have some editing to do ::le sigh::

Starting over. ..

Book title: Thaddeus Whiskers and the Dragon
Genre: Middle Grade Fantasy

My book is for kids, either for +10 to read to themselves or for slightly younger children to have read to them (I read it to my six-year-old and she liked it. A beta reader had their 12-year-old read it and she liked it. Considering the "cute" aspect, I probably wouldn't push it much higher than 12 though).
I'm really interested in having readers who also have kids and may want to share with kids because they're my true audience.

I'll Sing for my Dinner
When Cecily Buchanan walks into the Roadhouse Bar and Grill and offers to sing for a meal, ex Marine Jake McGarrity can't say no. Some say Jake is too soft hearted for his own good. But letting the waif with the cover girl face and the voice of an angel walk away would be more than he could stand.
Cecily's sweet nature, bubbly personality and obvious talent endear her to everyone she meets, and Jake soon knows his heart is lost.
Cecily has secrets and won't talk about her past, one so dark that she has nightmares and clutches a knife while she sleeps.
When those who are chasing her close in, she faces the decision of whether to run again or to trust her life to the cowboy angel who has taught her the meaning of love.
“Shocking, but oh, so sweet.”
I can supply arcs starting on March 23, or any ebook format on April 1.

Riley
Who knew the zombie apocalypse would be caused by something we all know is deadly...but that is also all around us? Two stories intersect as the world delves into chaos - Earl, a drugged out heroin addict constantly in search of his next fix, and a family struggling with the dramas of everyday life, get no reprieve during this zombie outbreak. Can any of them survive the deadliest game of all - survival against undead, each other, and the world around them?
If the zombies don’t kill you, there’s always you, the rest of mankind, and nature itself to pick up the slack.
You know, an author friend of mine pointed out I should post an excerpt, and I think she had a good point. Probably also a good time to mention that it has quite a bit of profanity in it as well...so I'll post to the first true curse word. How's that?
Everyone Dies At The End
Jadee scratched her arm, feeling the itch in her veins that begged her to inject herself with tar. She'd used her last little bit earlier, and now she waited impatiently for Earl to get back from the dealers. She sat on the stairs, trying unsuccessfully to calm herself. The state of the house was pathetic. Trash lined the floors, as well as messes from animals no one had bothered to clean. The smell was sour and rotting, full of death and decay.
Jadee jumped from the stairs when Earl charged into the house. She crashed into him, before stepping back to give him some room. “Did you get any?” she asked, her hands all but shaking with anticipation.
“Of course I did, but I only got a little bit.” He pushed her away, trying to make his way to the living room. “But he didn't really give me enough to share.”
She shoved him, sending him off balance. The junkie landed at the bottom of the stairs, his outstretched arms the only thing stopping him from smacking his face into the step.
“You better share,” she said, standing over Earl.
He glared up at her. “You better be careful, woman.” He climbed to his feet and turned to leave.
Jadee punched him as hard as she could in the back of the head. “You better share with me."
Well...that was MUCH shorter than even I realized...oh well. Take from it what you will.
