Lynn (papergalaxies) | 2178 comments Thanks for creating the thread!
I'll drop the plot here since I have it handy anyway:

Muse A is a somewhat morally grey but more often times self centered leader of a small group of bandits. He takes what he wants- which sometimes means everything a person has- without any regard what so ever to the impact his actions will have on those who he is taking from. He has lived this way for quite a while without any real problems occurring . . . that is until he takes something very dear to the wrong person- an elderly sorceresses who refuses to let him get away with such a thing without concequences. Upon seeing how selfish and unregarding of others he is, the sorceress curses him so that the person who he cares about most- himself- will suffer a long and drawn out death unless he can prove himself worthy of breaking the curse within the mountains of the Emerald Forest. Muse A writes off the curse she has spoken as the simple ramblings of a crazy and desperate old woman . . . until he starts getting sick and can no longer deny it.
Desperate to find a way to save himself he starts traveling- looking for any clues of where to find the Emerald Forest, but quickly discovers that most do not even know of the name aside from a few who have heard vague tales of it being some sort of magical land from a children's story.
Muse B is a young woman just trying to survive on her own. She has been struggling to make a life for herself for the past few years, finding that no matter how hard she works she can never seem to get ahead in life. When muse A arrives in town word quickly gets around that he is searching for someone to give him directions to the Emerald Forest. Muse B is one of the very few who believe in it and know of it's location. Recognizing it as an opportunity, Muse B seeks out Muse A, informing him that she knows how to find it and that it is not just some fairytale. She agrees to help him, but her help has a price- one that Muse A agrees to but has little intention of keeping at first. To Muse A's further dismay Muse B refuses to just give him straight up directions to the location and insists that she must instead guide him there. As it is his only lead and with time constantly ticking down over his head, the usually solo traveler has no choice but to agree and together they set off to find the mysterious forest he has been searching so desperately for- but will the trip go as smoothly and as easily as planned?

So, how do you feel about character sheets? I most generally stick to the basics, but I'm cool with including whatever.

dagger [ain't that a kick in the head] (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh) I don't actually have a preference for the amount of detail. How much I use usually depends on how much I like the character, so I'll probably be a bit detailed for this one. I'm fine with whichever you prefer!

Also, I'm sorry that I just kinds disappeared. Life gets hectic sometimes.

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 2178 comments Alright, sounds good. Mine probably won't be anything too crazy. Probably somewhere between simple and mildly detailed.
No need to apologize, I understand completely!
I should have my character sheet posted tomorrow, I would do it tonight but it's getting late for me and I don't trust myself to catch any typos I may make.

dagger [ain't that a kick in the head] (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh) Okay! I'm going to create mine tomorrow as well, mainly because this device has a) no copy/paste function and b) no access to images

○●》[[Personality]] 《●○

Cassia tends to be a friendly and caring person. She used to trust blindly, but over the years she has become more cautious and skeptical of the world. She tends to observe more often than do, and because of this she tends to pick up on subtle cues quicker than the average person.

Greatest Weaknesses
⇓ Not a very good fighter and tends to avoid confrontations at all costs
⇓ Tends to let 'what if 's keep her from taking chances
⇓ will help out others but won't ask for help herself, even when she needs it

Greatest Strengths
⇑ fast learner/adapter
⇑ quick thinker/planner
⇑ stealthy

○●》[[History]] 《●○

For as long as she can remember Cassia has lived in the same run down town. For the first five years of her life it was her, her mother, and her father. Her mother worked as a seamstress from their home while her father made a living collecting and selling medicinal herbs and plants- some rare that only grew in one place, a location that had been revealed to him by his own father: the Emerald Forest. Although he held the power to he never made much of a profit, he preferred to sell his goods at an affordable price so those who needed them most would be able to get their hands on them. It was not exactly perfect, but the small family was happy enough . . . until something went wrong on a routine gathering trip and it dwindled to just her and her father.
After that Cassia's father refused to ever return to the Forest as in his mind it was the reason behind his wife's demise, and instead started going from odd job to odd job. But one varying salary could not replace what two stable ones once provided. The sympathy of their neighbors eventually ran dry and her father quickly acquired a heap of debt by asking for a loan from one of the most influential and feared men in the town in attempt to get back up on his feet. Unfortunately he never got back on his feet and instead just fell deeper and deeper into debt. To his credit he never once let it slip to Cassia that he was in any sort of trouble and he managed to give her a fairly ordinary childhood.
It wasn't until his death that she learned of the extent of his debt when it was passed off to her as the loaner is determined to get his money back- one way or another. Now Cassia is in a race against time to find a way to escape the debt hanging over her head.

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 2178 comments Looks good! Would you like to start us off or should I?

dagger [ain't that a kick in the head] (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh) Probably you. I'm not sure where in the plot we're starting (sorry if you already told me and I just forgot because I'm kind of an idiot), so I'll follow your lead.

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 2178 comments Okay, cool with me. You didn't forget, I don't think I ever specified that part. I'll have my actual start post up soon, I have like three rps that I recently made characters for/am about to start and I need to re read over the plot/character so I make sure I'm thinking of the right one and dont get them mixed up.

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 2178 comments ((I guess I'll just start it off to where they havent met quite yet/she hasn't heard of him yet- like maybe he arrived the night before))

Cassia held her breath, not daring to move a muscle. She hid behind a haphazard stack of empty produce crates discarded in one of the alleys just beyond the town square.Through the narrow space between two of the slats of one crate she could see a fraction of the world beyond and watched as two all too familiar forms neared. Even with the glare of the mid morning sun on the grey cobblestones she could tell It was O'Sullivan's men- the same ones he always sent around to shake down money. This was the third time in two weeks they had tried to chase her down. O'Sullivan was growing increasingly impatient, but she couldn't help it. She had nothing left to give. All she currently had to her name in terms of wealth was a few coins, and she needed those to survive. She knew O'Sullivan didn't care about that though. He was determined to get his money out of her, one way or another. He had made that clear the last time he had graced her presence.
Luckily there was more brawn than brains between the two men that currently perused her, so it was usually easy enough to outwit and escape them. There was no way that could last forever though, her luck would eventually run out and quite frankly she was tired of hiding. Something had to change. The two men lingered, obviously scanning the area for any sign of her. After what felt like forever they moved on and she could once again breath. Once they were well out of sight and she once again felt more or less at ease Cassia wasted no more time and sprung to her feet- taking off at full speed with a couple stiff brown rabbits in tow. She still had a wild game delivery to make to the tavern owner and at this rate she was going to be late.

dagger [ain't that a kick in the head] (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh) Daman strode through the small town. He kept his hood up over his face, looking around. Somebody here had to know about the Emerald Forest. A searing pain shot through his chest, and the thief almost fell over, but he stayed upright. He didn't need to draw attention to himself. Lost in thought, he continued walking, "Sir," he said, stopping by a random villager and tapping him on the shoulder, "Would you happen to know anything about the Emerald Forest?" The man shook his head and walked away, giving Daman a strange look as he passed. Daman sighed and continued walking, occasionally asking others the same question. After being met with the same response a dozen times, he muttered something under his breath and looked around again. Somebody had to know something.

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 2178 comments Cassia stuck to side streets, weaving between the close together buildings. It was best to avoid more busy areas. Occasionally she would spare a glance backwards to be sure there was still no sign of the two men she was trying to avoid. The last thing she needed was them knowing her buisness.
Within a couple minutes she was standing before the doors of the slightly rundown tavern that had been her destination. It's faded sign which labeled it as The Ivory Magpie swung crookedly in the wind from the rope that crudely fastened it to the place where it had once hung sturdily without it. After one final glance back over her shoulder she headed inside.
Once she stepped through the door it took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the dimmer light. Only a few patrons remained inside- to of which were chatting over coffee at the counter and one who was asleep, slumped over at a table. The latter had probably been there since last night. The owner, Marcel, was the only one who even bothered to glance up as the door shut behind her. His eyes trailed from her to the two rabbits dangling from where they were gripped in her left hand. "You're late." He stated flatly.
Cassia sighed, "I know, it's been a bit of a rough morning." She said as she handed over the rabbits.
Marcel shook his head and looked over the rabbits. "Its going to be a rush to get these done for the afternoon rush." He commented grumpily. "I should really only give you half as much as we agreed upon as penalty."
". . . but you wont." Cassia said sweetly with an innocent looking smile. She knew that although his exterior was often harsh he had a soft spot, and even though it didn't exactly align with her morals to exploit it she had to use whatever she could in her favor.
Marcel's frown dissolved and he breathed a sigh of his own. "You're right I won't . . . this time." He took the rabbits behind the counter and started off towards the back "I'll be right back with your money. Make yourself comfortable and I'll get ya a cup of coffee or something once I return."
Cassia watched as he dissapeared and settled in on one of the stools at the main counter to wait for his return.

dagger [ain't that a kick in the head] (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh) ((Sorry! I forgot about this! I didn't mean to make you wait for so long!))

Daman walked into The Ivory Magpie, sitting down at the counter. He ordered a drink and waited. Sharp pain, worse than earlier, spread through him, like shards of glass shooting through him and tearing him apart inside. He grimaced, a small gasp escaping his lips. "Damned witch and her damned Emerald Forest." He muttered under his breath. The pain faded as soon as it had come, and Daman ran a hand through his hair. His hands were shaking slightly, and his breathing had become ragged.

Lynn (papergalaxies) | 2178 comments ((It's alright, it happens))

Cassia slipped the four gold coins that the tavern owner gave her into her pocket as he slid the promised tumbler of coffee in front of her. The dent in the metal at its rim hinted that it had been used as a projectile in at least one squabble within these walls. The Ivory Magpie sure wasn't known for attracting stellar characters. As she brought it up to her lips and took a sip she heard the door open, it's hinges creaking in protest the only sound other than the murmur of the men talking a few yards away from her and the occasional snore that escaped the lips of the sleeping patron behind. Her mind immediately went to the worst case scenario- had O'Sullivan's goons been able to track her back here? It was a possibility she always had to entertain. Although she wanted to turn and look she stayed still, showing no interest in whoever was entering. Movement would just draw attention to her if it was someone she was wanting to avoid. Instead she listened and lowered her cup back down to the counter top. One set of footsteps creaking across the floorboards. Her eyes trailed down to the slightly tarnished surface of her dented cup as the footsteps grew nearer, her heart now pounding as one warped silhouette passed by in it's dull reflection. She thought to the knife she had tucked away in her boot, already planning the one fluid motion it would take to grab it. Then the owner of the footsteps stopped at the counter and ordered a drink and she could once again relax. It was not one of O'Sullivan's men- the voice gave that away. Finally she allowed herself a quick glance at the owner of the voice. Nothing more than a simple traveler by the looks of it. She released a silent breath of relief.
She had truly been here too long though, she needed to get moving again before O'Sullivan's men really did track her back to here. She could not afford to loose Marcel's buisness. She picked up her cup again and gave it a few quick swirls before taking a large sip, intending to knock it all down in one go so she could get on her way. That's when she heard it- a muttered curse of a place that she hadn't heard spoke of in years from the traveller. Out of shock more than anything she choked on the mouthful of coffee she had, coughing as a bit of the warm liquid ran it's fiery trail through the wrong pathway to her lungs.
Meanwhile Marcel slid the stranger's drink into place in front of him then moved on to soundlessly right and refill Cassia's abandoned cup with water. "Try not to inhale it this time." He said teasingly before disappearing to go check on the two men further down the main counter.
