Wild for Wilde (wildforwilde) So I just finished the Twilight series on eBook and LOVED it! I am now wanting to read more vampire romance. I get all my eBooks from www.booksonboard.com and they seem to have a great selection of vampire romances. Does anyone have any suggestions?

message 108: by Megan (new)

Megan | 2 comments I recently finished Bloodline by Maggie Shayne (#16 in her Wings in the Night series)- okay, not as good as some of her others. There are so many vampire books- and series’ out there now. Does anyone remember when Vampire Romance books were actually HARD to FIND!? I do. I started reading them about 1996- and then there were only a few.

I started with:

The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith
Wings In the Night series by Maggie Shayne
Love Bites by Margaret St. George
The Midnight series by Nancy Gideon
The Vampire Viscount by Karen Harbaugh
Forever and the Night/For All Eternity/Time Without End/Tonight and Always by Linda Lael Miller
The Perfect Kiss by Amanda Stevens
Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton- of course that is still popular (remember the first one was originally published in 1993, some of us have had to wait for either one or two books to be published a year for a very long time….)
All of Amanda Ashley’s vamp books – which are still popular

Gina (so_vintage87) | 3 comments Hey everyone *waves*

I am new to this group and thought I would share what I am reading. I finally broke down and started reading the Twilight books. I am reading Eclipse at the moment. They are pretty entertaining, though Bella frustrates me. I hate to admit it but I am a Team Jacob. When I mentioned this to my friends who have read the book, they freaked out. What can I say; the Twilight books are my guilty pleasure.

Jael ~ *~ Syhren ~* ~ (wwwgoodreadscomprofilejael) LOL welcome Gina and don't worry I'm Team jacob as well. That damn Bella played on his feeling for her and then crushed them when Ed came back in town.

message 111: by Adrienne (last edited Jun 30, 2009 02:16PM) (new)

Adrienne Yes! I think I was always more Team Jacob than Team Edward, especially in the later books.

I have a couple of series I need to bring up to date, Lara Adrians Midnight Breeds and Jeaniene Frosts Night Huntress. I've been away from Vampires for a while but feel the need to get back in my vampire groove. I tried to read Sunshine, but struggled with it altho' I did think it was very good. I haven't completly given up with it tho', just put it on hold for a while.

message 112: by Kaz. (new)

Kaz. Your not alone with team Jacob Gina, I always liked Jacob that bit more.
And I second that Jael, she did lead him along and had him ready as second best all the time, he deserved better, lol, wouldn't it be great it there was another book one day on a Jacob & you know who story( I won't mention names if you are only up to Eclipse Gina )

Jael ~ *~ Syhren ~* ~ (wwwgoodreadscomprofilejael) Oh boy I would love to read how that one played out. To me it was a little bit creepy.

message 114: by Kaz. (new)

Kaz. LOL yeh it was at her age but I should of added that it would be good in about 20 years time from now, that is what I was imagining.

Jael ~ *~ Syhren ~* ~ (wwwgoodreadscomprofilejael) LOL I know what you meant but I still just thought it was creepy. It would be an interesting story no less.

message 116: by Sandy (new)

message 120: by Dacey (new)

Dacey (vampireadik) | 3 comments The "Den of Shadows" series by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is awesome it's my favorite vampire series so far. Their YA books and arn't too long, but they are the best.

message 122: by Barbara (new)

Barbara | 4 comments I just finished Jennifer Armintrout series Bloodties. I thought the series was good. Not really happy with the ending of book 4 but it was a good read.

I've just started a new series by Shannon K. Butcher called Burning Alive - Sentinel Wars. 50 pages in and I'm hooked. The bus ride home isn't long enough when you're into a great book.

I have Kiss of Midnight at home in my to be read pile... what did you think Heather?

I actually really enjoyed Kiss of Midnight. It has a new take on a few things, but it doesn't take away from the story. Like most PNR it has a lot of push/pull between the leading man and woman. It's not a book for the young. I'm going to buy the next book in the series, so overall I liked it and would recommend it if you like PNR.

message 131: by Felicity (new)

Felicity I'm currently reading Full Moon Rising by Keri Arthur.Although the books are not that exciting as the books by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Now I haven't read any of the twilight series.I do hear they are very good?

message 132: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 19 comments Twilight is good IF you enjoy YA paranormal romance. That's really what they are. I really enjoyed the Twilight books, but I can see why some people might not.

Susziq | 1 comments I am currently reading High School Bites: The Lucy Chronicles. It is okay to be a teenage book. I just finished with Destined for an Early Grave. It was really good. I can't wait till First Drop of Crimson comes out next year. Only 22 more days until the next Vampire Academy book comes out. This is also a teenage series but I would recommend it to anyone.
