The cover of the book has a colorful sunset in the background with two boys on the cover, one wearing sunglasses with long hair and the other one wearing a bowtie? The book starts out with the main character hopping around the beach drinking, smoking, and looking for potential hookups. He then meets this boy from his school who is quiet and "falls" for him. They have a secret relationship until the main character realizes that being gay can change his social status. He then gets in with the popular girl group of the school. He then rethinks his decision as he starts to get confused with himself. The boy he likes is quiet and nerdy and like to wear nicer clothes. There is a lake house involved in this book quite often and the party held there toward the end of the book. Please let me know where I can find this book, the author, or even the title, anything helps.

I think that’s “We Are Totally Normal” by Rahul Kanakia (just did some research, I have not read it..)
