Just throwing it out there:
Aw alright. Sorry it wasn't that one! I did and didn't think it was possible. Just because she didn't exactly have two different colored eyes but rather in both it started out dark and went light. Plus there is a vampire of sorts in the book, albeit an energy vampire. I hope you find it!

The heroine has an extreme case of heterochromia; one eye is very dark and one eye is very light, which has led her to be treated like an outcast. The only part I really remember is she's in a bookstore, waiting in line
for an author signing and another woman starts talking to her. Heroine removes her dark sunglasses to show the other woman her eyes after which the other woman freaks out a bit. There's another scene, in the bookstore, where the heroine saves the hero from being shot or attacked, and the hero sees her eyes because her sunglasses fell off. Hero may or may not be a vampire, I can't quite remember.
I've searched high and low for books where the heroine has different color eyes, but nothing seems to match up to this book. I'd appreciate any help!
