SOLVED. Historical Romance Novel about a Girl with a face rash being forced to marry. [s]

The girl had a rash that you eventually learn is due to anxiety/stress, so it becomes more enflamed as a result of her stress. It starts off with her male relatives forcing her to marry for money I think. She refuses and they beat her. She wears a thick veil on her wedding day to cover her rash and the bruises. Her groom doesn't know see her without the veil until about half way through the book I think. All of the servants think that the groom beat her and are cold and angry towards him until the new wife clears things up. The end I can't remember as well. I know they reconcile and she stops wearing the veil, but that's about it.

When Love Awaits by Johanna Lindsey? The heroine used to have childhood rashes and they used a rash as an excuse for a heavy veil at the wedding. She really used a veil because she was covered in bruises from being forced to marry. Because of the veil, the hero doesn't see her face on the wedding day/night and she leaves the next day back to her keep. Another person sees the bruises and assumes the hero beat her. The heroine sets the record straight later and suddenly all the women are nice the to the hero again. When the hero goes to her keep, he doesn't recognize her as his wife. He doesn't know until almost the end of the book that his wife was beaten.

Yes!! I own over a hundred romance novels and I've read the backs of all of them trying to figure it out. I own that book and the back sayings nothing about a rash or a veil, so I would have never figured it out. Thank you!!
