Question 3. Malcolm is concerned the investigation will put Melanie and him and Raoul and him on opposite sides because they will disagree about which tactics to support to bring about change. Do you think this is a dilemma they will face in the future?

Kimberly Thorpe | 237 comments I think there will always be conflict about tactics. Malcolm is the most conservative, followed by Raoul, than Suzanne. Even when they are all on the same side with the same objective, I think there will be issues. I also think they are in a place now where they will discuss their differences and make decisions together.

Betty Strohecker | 164 comments I agree with Kim that there will always be some type of conflict, if only in the mind. I think all three have grown to know, respect, and love each other to an extent that they will consider each other's opinions more carefully than they would in the early stages of their relationships.

Those are all good points. I think what Malcolm fears is that their thoughts on tactics may be so different that they won't be able to agreed on a course of action or will keep secrets from each other - for instance. that the plot Kitty and Simon and Kit were involved in was something Mel and Raoul would support but he couldn't. As it turned out, their responses were remarkably similar.
