Small book, illustrated, I read it when I was a kid so early 80s. As per the title, it featured the poem hist whist by ee cummings and the short story the big hairy toe. I think it might have inluded the poem Solomon Grundy, died on Monday etc

Hi Sandra, thank you but that's not the one, although I will be checking that out lol. I think it was probably for slightly younger kids. The illustrations were more cartoony and silly scary than disturbing.

Hi Kris, when I moved it to solved I put the name of the book and editors in the little subject line thingy, was that not right? Regardless, it's called Spine Tinglers, edited by Zenka and Ian Woodward. Thank you
