Him. My best friend. The love of my life. Three years ago we were broken hearts and open wounds. Sometimes it's a struggle not to go back. It's easy to forget to be grateful. We get wrapped up in the world. But I am so grateful for Shiv. Even more, I'm proud of him. Today is his first day of college. He never believed he would make it this far. People told him he wouldn't. I'm really really proud of him. That's all.
