I'm Kaira K. And i’d love to join! My ”vacation”, whatever that means these days, started today so I just started reading The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware.
I’m already signed up — just finished another book to log on the challenge! Last Couple Standing by Matthew Norman. 😁
Good morning! My name is Samantha and my username/profile name is Samantha Christine. Please, could I sign-up for the Summer Reading Challenge? Thanks!
Hi Everyone! On Saturday I happened to pick up : The Not Quite States of America: Dispatches from the Territories and Other Far-flung Outposts of the USA by Doug Mack. This is a light hearted travel guide to places many of us know as cruise destinations or military bases. It is a bit dated (2017), but the essays about Guam and Samoa were very readable and eye opening in terms of the history and legal questions that impact life as a citizen of a non-State.

I am signed up and already 2 books in! (Anything finished after 6/20 counts, right?)The Topeka School: Ben Lerner
The Giver of Stars: JoJo Moyes
Hi, I finished a few books this week. Get Outside theme fits the ARC I received from Joanne Dannon, Off Limits: Her Handsome Boss. It is a great little sister - brother's best friend book. Off limits to what if... Takes place at an Australian beach resort. Really a fun read. I also finished Mister Moneybags by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward, another romance. I finished Scions of Change (Cadical Book 5) by A.K. DuBoff for some SciFi.
I have added everyone who posted above to our summer reading challenge, and added all the read books listed. Great start, everyone!
Just finished The Helpline, which was in my bag of handpicked books from Voorheesville Public Library. Am I allowed to compliment other libraries here? They have a curbside pickup service where you can request certain sorts of books, and they will pick out titles for you. It is great! I had asked for light and upbeat books, and this was one of them. It certainly fit the bill. The main character works a senior citizen help line at a local government in Australia. Nice to know that politics - both local government and office - are the same there as in the US.

The Giver of Stars: JoJo Moyes" How did you like The Topkea School? That has been on my to-read list for a while.

Sign me up as Jody. I recently finished “the Glass Hotel “ by Emily St. John Mandel”. I loved it! The places, the characters, the subtext if the events of 2008. Chilling!
Finished listening to one of the books on your list, Sadie. You were right - it was a great audiobook. I can't even imagine reading it as a print book.
I know i ‘m a little late to the party, but please sign me up, Nicole Ranieri :) yesterday i finished Sealed Off, A Maine Clambake Mystery

For Week 1, I read "Farming for the Long Haul" by Michael Foley. Despite living in the city (but enjoying gardening by plastering my small yard with a bounty of plants), this book highlights many alarming trends that are converging which will lead to significant stresses to our agricultural systems, affecting all of our ability to feed ourselves. While there is a bit of interesting meandering from the main discussion, the author offers a lot of interesting strategies for the long term, many of them borrowing from a rich history, daring ourselves to go back rather than attempt to "technology" our way to solutions.
