Evening all.

The final round before we once again find out what we all enjoyed from the first 6 months, of what has being an unprecedented turbulant first half of the year. I dunno about you, but I am well down on viable choices to offer up, most of my favourites bands are laid up, thanks to this bloody virus.

Which brings me neatly to this round. The last round was meant to an uplifting one (you judge for yourselves if that were the case, i'm still not convinced)..so whilst many of us are still in lockdown, neverless the less, Val proposes that we all go on a road trip, and wants your best driving songs!

My thinking re this theme was "carefree" - imagine you're 19, no responsibilities, going to have a good time if it kills you. I didn't intend the songs should have to be about driving and "the road" but, as it happens, I have chosen one that is (metaphorically). So any music that sees you cruising happily will fit the bill.

Good evening folks..

Okay then; i've kicked the tyres, topped up the radiator, filled the the tank....checked for leaks, taped up a few loose bits of trim, and i think i can coax this ol' bus into life for another trip. Judging by the comments above...i've also brought along a big box of barf bags for good measure too. There's no air conditioning or toilet on board, but given that half the windows have fallen out...i don't think that'll be a problem. So, all aboard for this post covid (sort of) road trip.....and i'll get that ol' lump started. It's been a long time since i've used an actual crank handle! :)

And for entertainment, we've got 16 songs playing on a constant loop via the 8 track player (so... that'll be a 16 track then wouldn't it?!), that i got from some Albanian bloke. Anyhoo..there'll be plenty of time to cast your votes for your fav 5.
