“ Thank you for accepting. Me !!! I’m desperately looking for the name of a book I read along time ago .......

It’s basically about a young girl who was in line to be a queen . And her cousins and brothers raped her and she became pregnant and in order to hide it she left her country and met a maid who helped her keep her secret ...

There’s a part where the maid and her cut their thighs to fake her period , so the other maids don’t suspect anything ...

I hope one of you has read the book I’m dying to read it again!

I will also add later in the comments she said that the cover may have resembled the painting of the girl with a pearl earring but she couldn’t be sure.

I hope this helps! (Also some people have suggested Deerskin by Robin McKinley but it doesn’t seem to match the plot that much).
