How ever did you come up with

That has to be the quirkiest question

think of lollipops.

How did your father know of his
shoe size?
How does he know what is not
well known?
It seems to me you have a good
source of N.E.L. questions.

My dad is a huge joker, sarcastic person... Yes, I get it all from him. 😂😂 He's always teasing me about being too much like him. 😂
So he suggested it as a joke. 😂
But he actually knows a LOT about all these authors! If I ever mention one of these questions to him that y'all have done, he instantly knows the answer.

That's quite impressive, Emma! How does he come to know so much about them? Just a lot of reading, or was he a teacher or something?

Hi Ruth! I'm well, thank you. I hope you aren't suffering too much from the heat! 🤗Yes, I actually fell for Emma's trick question. 🤦🏻‍ I will cast my vote as well to make her dad an honorary member!
Our Amish friends actually decided they want me to come to their place and play accordion...they've got a lot of company. We're supposed to be there in an hour. I'm trying to calm my nerves...I wish Dorry were here to accompany me! 😂

Hi Sarah! Yes, I've actually lived around Amish most of my life. My dad used to teach school for them and now he drives for a small community. We have a lot of respect for them. Spending time with them is like going back to the 19th century! I dress almost exactly like the Amish do, with a long plain dress and head-covering.

It was a really pleasant visit! I just played several Swedish tunes that I have memorized, because I've played a few for Elmer's (the one who reminds me of Thoreau) family before and they liked it a lot. He keeps asking me if I can play 'My Old Kentucky Home' though, so I guess I need to learn that! 😂 I've played it on violin but haven't been able to find a good arrangement for accordion yet. They also played a few tunes for us on their harmonicas and one girl played the recorder.

at the Swedish Festival last year, was that one of
the pieces you played today?🎻

🙈You're right!!
I think you had better take over.
And to think it's gone down hill ever since the melted

🤗🤗🤗 Dear Ruth, I wish I could send you some snow to cool you off! 😂 Alas, I don't think there's even any snow on Katahdin right now.
Tsk, tsk, Thoreau would not be pleased! 🤣
