We met somebody who was a WW2 vet who was interned in a German camp that was the inspiration for Hogan Heroes. Talk about an experience meeting him!

After talking to Allyson, we've seen more of it than I thought. The only place we would've seen something like that was at my grandparent's house, and I remember it was really funny!

It was interesting how many of the actors actually had WWII experiences. Werner Klemperer's (actor for Klink) family was Jewish and fled to America if I remember right. Pretty sure the actors for General Burkholder and Major Hochstetler were Jewish as well. And Robert Clary (LeBeau) had been in a concentration camp and was the only survivor of his family.
