Joanna This NE author was the son of a very famous NE author, and claimed to have inspired the character of Laurie in 'Little Women', although Louisa May Alcott denied it. Who is it?

Yes, Dororhy! I somehow missed your kitty! So cute! I had a cat like that about 20 years ago. She was the only cat I ever had that was quite that color. She was a good girl and very big...long and tall, not fat.πŸ€—

Ladislas Wisniewski, but that's who Alcott said it was, not who claimed to be.πŸ€” I bet Emma is correct!

You have to admit, Dorry, the lynx is way cuter than the bug...😏🀣

Pamela | 2209 comments Just an interesting bit of info about Louisa May Alcott...Did you know that in 1857, she walked to the Mill Dam in Boston's Back Bay, intending to commit suicide by drowning herself? She was distraught over her life of poverty, but she talked herself out of ending it all and returned home. Ten years later her life changed with the publication of Little Women. I've been reading her biography online. I never knew about that event before. Just thought it was interesting.

I know. I had no idea either. Imagine never having any of her books to read. Too tragic to think about. Thankfully, she changed her mind!

Jonathan Edwards' Resolutions And Advice to Young Converts by Jonathan Edwards

Jonathan Edwards A New Biography by Iain H. Murray

Selected Sermons Of Jonathan Edwards by Jonathan Edwards

A Jonathan Edwards Reader by Jonathan Edwards

These are a few good books written by or about Edwards.
