Pamela | 2209 comments Wondering about Alcott and Thoreau got me thinking about authors I would have felt that way about. Not all New England writers. I think some of the most handsome, to my eyes anyway, would be: Jack Kerouac, Ernest Hemingway, William Faulkner and C.S. Lewis. Not that it matters. Just thinking about it.😘

I remember reading that somewhere before, but honestly don't really believe it. The biographer who mentioned it talked about when he was her schoolteacher, but she would have been only 7 years old!
