I just woke up from my nap! I can't believe I slept so long! I need to do a couple of things, but I'll be back with my answer soon!

Dorothy was SO close! Longfellow's second wife, Fanny, was fatally burned when her dress caught fire. While trying to put out the fire, Longfellow was severely burned on his face and hands. He could not shave due to injuries, so his beard grew. Because of severe scars, he continued to wear a beard for the remainder of his life. Fannie was seated at her desk when her dress caught fire. She died the next day.

It's very sad. During the 1800's, thousands of women lost their lives when their dresses caught fire.

Thanks, Pammy Jo! It was so tragic. In the pictures of him taken after that happened I can see the grief in his face.

Many things come to me...and then leave right away! LOL! My longterm memory is great, but my short term memory is terrible. The doctor says it's because of my illness and it is normal. Frankly, I don't think I've ever been "normal" based on what normal seems to be in today's world!🤪
