For your information, Catharine Sedgwick is now "one" of my favorite authors (assuming her other books are just as good!). I have several authors on my list of favorites, but HAWTHORNE will always reign supreme! 😂

Well, much as it pains me to say it...Dorry is the winner! It was Thoreau. According to Emerson, "He had many elegances of his own, whilst he scoffed at conventional elegance.
