Both of you are right. The simple things in life are the best! I can't adjust to much of the modern world. Tired of the news, don't like TV or current music and movies. The people in my area have become very cold, uncaring...always in a hurry. I no longer feel at home in the place where I have lived my entire life. The Philly area is crime and drug ridden. It's very sad. My most enjoyabe times are spent with my cats and my books. I long for "the good old days" so much. I've been told I need to "get with the times" and that I don't know anything about "how the world works" today. The thing is, I don't like how the world works today. Frankly, I don't think it works at all. Sadly, society in general has really broken down. It makes me very sad.Pammy Jo

Not long ago, I told my parents, thank you so much, for raising me the way you did, because I can't imagine living in the world the way my extended family does. I'm constantly praying for them, but I just feel like they're getting worse and worse. If I had my way, I would live somewhere way back in the middle of nowhere, never go to the stores, live a simple life. 😂 I know that's not exactly practical. We used to live more simple than we do now, and I actually miss it every single day.
Meg's going to kill us. 😂 We should've been talking about that on the chat thread. 😅

Yes that's the one I was thinking about! I read it a few weeks ago and thought it was really good! Can't imagine many 13-year-olds writing something like that these days.
