If you're right, Ruth... 😾🤣 I was considering saying Thoreau, but decided not to.

Now really Emma...Hawthorne was too shy! 😂"
Anyone who is shy can have their moments! You should see me when I'm having a moment. 🙊🤣"
🤣 Yeah me too! But I still could never argue that effectively with a stranger! 🤣🤣🤣

Well, you actually were getting warm, Sarah! It was Emerson who told the story...so it's someone he knew...

As a matter of fact, I was trying to help my dad reserve a cabin on Moosehead Lake, one of the places Thoreau visited, where Lordwilling we will be camping with the Amish Thoreau and his family, next month! 😂

Also his wife and their baby, and 2 older boys (not his).

Are you sure you want to go with Allyson, she ALWAYS guesses Mark Twain! 😂
I can't remember if you said before, but whereabouts do you live? Are there not any Amish communities in your area?

The college, would that be
Bowdoin College?"
Sorry, I missed your comment earlier and by the time I saw it thought maybe you didn't need to know anymore. 😂 No, it wasn't Bowdoin College. If it had been I would be going back down to take a picture of where it took place. 🤣

I am going to say Thoreau, too. It just seems like it would be something that would happen to him.

You see something on the ceiling?"
Yeah, the answer to your question!!! 🤣

Yoouu got a letter from Meg that has the question? And you had to look at it really fast before your time was up, and then you saw a ghost? 🤣

Story writing/ telling"
I'm a writer, too!! 🤣

"On one occasion he went to the University Library to procure some books. The librarian refused to lend them. Mr. Thoreau repaired to the President, who stated to him the rules and usages, which permitted the loan of books to resident graduates, to clergymen who were alumni, and to some others resident within a circle of ten miles’ radius from the College. Mr. Thoreau explained to the President that the railroad had destroyed the old scale of distances,—that the library was useless, yes, and President and College useless, on the terms of his rules,—that the one benefit he owed to the College was its library,— that, at this moment, not only his want of books was imperative, but he wanted a large number of books, and assured him that he, Thoreau, and not the librarian, was the proper custodian of these. In short, the President found the petitioner so formidable, and the rules getting to look so ridiculous, that he ended by giving him a privilege which in his hands proved unlimited thereafter."
Congartulations, Ruth! You're the winner! 🤗
