Sarah | 4 comments Children's story for early elementary, read in a "reader" book in the 70s/80s. Main character is a boy (likely named Timothy/Tim) who lives in a small apartment with his parents and siblings. Tim wants his own room/space, but their apartment isn't that big, so his mom gives him a special corner. They decorate it with shelves and a box of toys, making it his own space. The book may be called "Timothy's Corner", but it's probably part of a collection of stories in one book. Any help is appreciated!

Yes, I believe so. It was a collection of stories for elementary school students.

Rainbowheart | 28662 comments Did you read this at school? If so, do you remember anything about your elementary school textbooks? It might be easier to track down through the publisher.

Could you have come across it as late as '89?

Minnikin | 89 comments You might mean Evan's Corner, by Elizabeth Starr Hill. The edition being sold online was published in 1993, but it was originally published at least 15 years earlier. It was in Tapestry, a Houghton Mifflin reading book in the early eighties.
