Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn – 3 Stars

The plot of this book is simple on the face of it – a reporter just released from a psychiatric ward has returned home to report on the murders of two local young girls. Whilst at home, Camille has to contend with her very disturbed family – her mother, step-father and half-sister. This was quite a dark and disturbing read, and I didn’t guess who the murderer was until the last couple of chapters. It was my first book by Flynn, and I will try her other books in the future.
