Goodreads and the Goodreads app

Lea messaged me about some problems she's having with GR - she uses the app. I don't have any answers, so thought we'd see about the rest of you.

I have a question about the group posts. It seems like I can’t read them all the time or reply to someone’s comment on my post. Is there a setting I need to make? I use my iPhone for Goodreads - is that the problem? Was wondering if you had heard of these questions before and had any tips.

The app doesn't have all the functions the desk top version does. I find there are 'bits' missing off posts; there is no 'reply' to a post available; you can't 'add book/author' from the app.

To overcome this when I'm not near my laptop so have to use my ipad, I access GR through the Safari browser where I can then get all the add ons the app doesn't have.

You might check Help but last I knew Help was saying contact support when people reported not having a reply button on Goodreads app on iPhone.

I agree. I do not use the GR app on my phone. I go to the browser in Safari and use the 'normal' GR. But all my responses and posts are on my laptop.
