ABANDONED. Adult sci fi; basically a guy goes into a coma to try and find his missing, assumed dead wife.

It begins with an intro to a primitive type warrior civilization with telepathic siblings whose parents died. Then jumps to a different universe/plane of existence/time in which a man is grieving for his wife who disappeared walking through a transportation portal she helped create. There are a couple moments where she tries to communicate with him by kind of posessing a client in a business meeting. He soon surmises he needs to put himself into a coma to try and find her. I remember more but i dont want to broach the spoiler varrier. Please help!! I really want to read this again and google has been no help. Maybe im just not using right keywords...?

I read it within the last couple years, I'm gonna say between 2017 to 2019. I got it browsing the Amazon kindle app for android in the free section. I already screened that section again.
