Rose is such a multi faceted character. I imagine sighted people can't imagine the difficulties vision impaired people would face in being underestimated for their abilities. And for loved ones trying to find the balance between support and over protectiveness. But I think Nick and Rose will work it out, it seems that is how their storyline is moving.
I think Rose and Nick are going to work out. She is afraid that Nick will have problems because the baby was conceived from a rape. I believe Nick doesn't look at that. Rose was concerned because Nick asked how she was doing a lot. I'm with Mercy that it doesn't have to do we her blindness as much as his wife died. I'm sure they are going to find a way to meet in the middle. I get the feeling that Nick is a good man and he will be good for Rose.
I believe Nick would be overprotective whether Rose was blind or not. He's just the kind of guy who takes care of people he cares about. I think he and Rose will work out their differences and make a great team.
Thanks for the reminder about Nick’s first wife, Sharon. He didn’t see Rose as handicapped when he first got interested so I don’t think that’s what’s going on now. I think it’s important that she deal with it now rather than later.
I think these two have more going for them than the issues they face. Nick keeps proving himself as a good guy and his feelings towards Rose seem genuine. They’ll make it.

I love Rose!! I love her grit & determination to make her own way. And I love Rose & Nick as a couple. I'm really glad that it seems to be real love and I hope we see a lot more of them. They help to balance the story out.
I agree with all of you. Nick knows the score and I think he'd be as protective of any woman he cared about especially one who was pregnant. I keep forgetting about his wife dying. This would make any decent man to be a bit over protective. I also agree she needs to take a stand and have a conversation with Nick before it goes on too long and will become a bigger "hot button" than it already is.
