Truman stops Joshua Forbes for speeding and he tries to assert his immunity due to his “sovereign citizen” status. Did you have a sense of foreboding that this would later escalate or think it was just a crazy moment?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) See my Answer to Question A .

Straight away I mused that this would have some significance to the storyline moving forward. The way the author highlighted this scene early on in the story.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments Yes, I was expecting him to pull a gun. When he didn't I was expecting him to come back for revenge.

Yes, definitely thought that wasn't the last we'd see of Joshua Forbes.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I was expecting something big to happen when Truman pulled this guy over. But I had no idea how he would play into the story.

Yeah, I thought this would resurface in some way, but especially thought it would escalate right there on the highway. When it didn't, I knew there would be a reckoning later on.

I took it as a forewarning of things to come.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I agree; if nothing happened right at the arrest, I expected to see this young man along the way as part of the plot.

Christina T (crysteena73) | 109 comments I'm in agreement with everyone. I knew it was significant but failed to anticipate the degree on Truman himself. I thought they'd do a typical militant thing and standoff with guns blazing protecting their sovereign status and land. I was on the edge of my seat listening and wondering if Truman was going to survive.
