I am a huge fan of Baldacci's work and I have read his series about Sean King and Michelle Maxwell, as read as his Will Robie books. Zero Day is the first book in which he introduces readers to John Puller. So far there are three books in this series, but I havent gotten to them yet. I'm looking forward to beginning this series as part of the Week 5 challenge!

This was very good.... Not amazing or fantastic, but very good. The first 300-350 pages flew by, but the last 75 or so were a bit too far fetched for me. And John Puller is a bit TOO superhero-y for me. I get it. He's the good guy, but he shouldn't be implausibly indestructible.
I'm on 165 and I picked up this book because I've enjoyed the other books...just like you said. I thought it was time to get another character and honestly, I was excited. Once upon a time I enjoyed reading Lee Child's series with Jack Reacher because I really liked the way he set things right. But yes, he was a little TOO perfect and a little too hot. Already I can tell that John Puller is going to fit this same mold.
Thank you for your honest evaluation. I'm breezing through these chapters and staying up later than I should (stupid DST is going to kill me). It's good to know what's ahead.
