Did Zuckerberg got the idea from this group?

Yeah. I mean, yes, the article is very mocking and rightfully so (sorry, I find him very... off-putting), but there is something to be said about "shifting more of [the] media diet towards reading books." Facebook is some people's daily messiah. Build it and they shall come and all that jazz. If Zuckerberg can drive the masses toward books, hey, I can't see that being a bad idea. I don't want to be a traitor to my generation (or the generations that have followed mine), but holy #$%^ we need a wake-up call and fast. When girls are growing up idolizing Kim Kardashian, Snooki, and Teen Moms, oof. I weep for the future of my country. We need more Sarah Crewe, Josephine March, and Anne Shirley! In my humble opinion, of course. /rant /soapbox
I doubt the idea came from this group, reading challenges on social platforms have been around years and there are hundreds now. I remember being part of livejournal reading challenges over ten years ago and even http://novelchallenges.blogspot.com/ has been around for a few years.

Angela - I know that, I was just trying to be funny!
Even though the article is, well, mocking Zuckerberg (which I found extremely amusing), I think it's a great idea. Maybe it will get more people to find "reading books very intellectually fulfilling" like it did to him!
What do you guys think?
