Thanks, Katrisa! If there are other places need or that they will fit better, it is okay to move them. I actually can click on the link in the internet version and had it open for a minute, but I am not sure I understand it. I am an old dog and it is hard to learn new tricks.

Katrisa | 4460 comments I finished No Longer Human for hand 4 card 6. I am in the middle of The Magician's Elephant right now for hand 5 card 4 - mostly blue cover
The Magician's Elephant by Kate DiCamillo

message 107: by Ayacchi (last edited Jun 23, 2020 06:35PM) (new)

Ayacchi | 1722 comments Cherie - there's an open slot for 0 in Hand 5 if you want to put The Last Painting of Sara de Vos there, or Reverse in Hand 6

message 108: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4460 comments I finished The Magician's Elephant. It was a reread for me - and man, I forgot how much I just adore that book! I started The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America for hand 5 card 0

message 109: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments It does not matter to me where it goes but I had asked to read the de Vos book for the Reverse card on Hand 1 because TrudyAn had just recently read it.

Are the books for hand 1 completed? If yes, use it where it will fit.

I have plenty of books available to read and that is why I gave a list of the cards that I couldfill. I am fine with someone telling me which card (and hand) to read for.

Reverse Hand 1 is taken by Amanda. I suggested Hand 5 or 6 because it's the closest one :)

We have four 0, two 1, one 2, two 3, three 4, four 5, two 6, two 9, one Reverse, two Skip, and one Wild Card 4 we can fill

message 111: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Ok, Ayacchi, put my books wherever they fit. 😊. Thanks for the help!

Ayacchi | 1722 comments Cherie wrote: "Ok, Ayacchi, put my books wherever they fit. 😊. Thanks for the help!"

Okay Cherie, I'll put it on Hand 6 Reverse!

message 113: by Ayacchi (new)

Ayacchi | 1722 comments I added The Trumpet of the Swan The Trumpet of the Swan by E.B. White for Hand 5 Card 0 (stand alone and mostly white). It also fits Wild Draw 4 (animal on the cover)

message 114: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4460 comments I noticed we needed a 5 in hand 4 so I added Heavy An American Memoir by Kiese Laymon for red cover.

message 115: by Amanda (Mandy) (new)

Amanda (Mandy) | 762 comments I finished The Night Tiger for hand3, card 0. I am working on my book for hand 4. If I get it finished I will see what else I can squeeze in.

message 116: by Jannene (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments Sorry, work is getting into the way to helping with the spreadsheet.

message 117: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4460 comments I can go back and add the points from the reporting sheet, Jannene. I am a teacher, so I am only working 9 hours a week for summer school right now - I have extra time on my hands, lol!

Also, I added Tracks for hand 5 card 4 (narrator is Anna Fields - starts with F)

message 118: by Jannene (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments That explains how you are able to read so many books!! I hope to finish my 2nd book today or tomorrow. I’m off again this Friday so I have a full day to listen to another book.

message 119: by Casceil (last edited Jun 24, 2020 05:40PM) (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments I finished Lies That Bind by Stella Cameron, 4th book in a series, for card 4 in hand 5.
..

Katrisa | 4460 comments Ya, my life is like 98% audiobooks right now!

message 121: by Cherie (last edited Jun 24, 2020 06:11PM) (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Awesome, Katrisa! I was wondering too. :o)
------------------
I started listening to Lethal Pursuit** today, while I was working. This book will fit for cards Skip (#11 in a series), 2 for Will Thomas - the author, and 4 for Antony Ferguson - the audiobook narrator. I was going to wait until I finished listening to Dog on It, but I could not wait.

**Katrisa - I love this series and narrator. If your library has them, I absolutely recommend them.

message 122: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4460 comments Finished Heavy: An American Memoir. It was fantastic and read by the author. I really like when books are read by the author.

message 123: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4460 comments Cherie, thanks for the rec! I put book 1 on my TBR

message 124: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4460 comments Scribd has all the books in the series. I haven't read my 1880s book yet too! looks like I have a new book for that spot!

Ayacchi | 1722 comments I added Kim Ji-Yeong Lahir Tahun 1982 Kim Ji-Yeong Lahir Tahun 1982 by Cho Nam-Joo for Hand 6 Card 1 (1 in the title)
It also fits Card 0 (stand alone, mostly white cover) and Card 2, 8, 9 (2, 8, 9 in the title)

Then Then by Morris Gleitzman for Hand 6 Card 5 (mostly red cover)
It also fits Card 1 (mostly red cover), Card 2 (title starts with T, #2 in the series), and Card Skip (child as main character)

message 127: by Jannene (last edited Jun 26, 2020 02:37AM) (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments Hand 1 is finished.

Mary needs to complete her book. Then hand 2 will be done.

Hand 3 is finished.

Hand 4 TrudyAn has one book and Amanda has one.

Hand 5 Cherie has two books and then it will be done.

We are on a roll. If someone can’t finish their books let us know and we can move things around.

message 129: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4460 comments I am halfway through Northanger Abbey. I think I can get through one more before 10am (my time) on Sat. I think I'll take Cherie's suggestion and start the Barker and Llewelyn books. I'll see where I can fit it on our spreadsheet.

message 130: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4460 comments My next book will be Some Danger Involved can be for:
6 - title starts with S
1 - first in a series
2 - author starts with T
9 - mostly black cover (audio)
4 - narrator starts with F
Jannene - you can put it wherever would be most helpful :)

message 131: by Jannene (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments I just finished my book.

message 132: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I finished Lethal Pursuit this morning and reported it in the reporting thread just now.

I am still listening to Dog on It Dog on It (A Chet and Bernie Mystery, #1) by Spencer Quinn and reading Men We Reaped by Jesmyn Ward .

message 133: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4460 comments Cherie. Men We Reaped was a powerful read for me. I might need to reread it given our current reckoning with racism

message 134: by Jannene (last edited Jun 26, 2020 02:18AM) (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments Mary, TrudyAn, how are you two doing on your books?

This fits multiple places and can cover if someone doesn’t finish their books assigned. If they finish, I plopped you on hand 7.

message 136: by Jannene (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments I started Daddy's Girl by Lisa Scottoline this fits Draw 2 and card 1 (mostly red cover). One book for two tasks.

message 137: by Ayacchi (new)

Ayacchi | 1722 comments I'm reading Now
It fits:
Card 3 - #3 in the series
Card 9 - title starts with N
Skip - child as a main character (?)

message 138: by Casceil (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments I am ready to start a new book. I have the day off, and I can usually read a book in a day. What do we need? Does anyone need help?

message 139: by Jannene (last edited Jun 26, 2020 08:55AM) (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments Casceil, could you find something for card 3? I haven’t had an update yet for Amanda. She has that book. If she does finish we still can use that for hand 7.

message 140: by Casceil (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments I'm sure I can find something for task 3. Thanks, Jannene.

message 141: by Jannene (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments We have 3 hands finished.

message 142: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I finished the Chet and Bernie audiobook this morning Dog on It and reported it in the reporting thread.

message 143: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I hope it is not going to interfere, but I am going to put Men We Reaped by Jesmyn Ward aside. It is a little too long to finish in time, and I found The Island of Dr. Moreau by H.G. Wells , which is also a stand alone book to replace the card 0. I can use it on my trivia challenge and it is shorter. I am pretty sure I can finish it.

message 144: by Jannene (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments No worries. That is an easy fix.

message 146: by Casceil (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments I finished Montana D-Force for number 3, wherever you want to put it. Let me know if I should try to squeeze in something else.

message 147: by Jannene (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments Thanks Casceil!

message 148: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4460 comments I finished my Some Danger Involved - thanks for the rec Cherie! I will for sure check out some more of the series. The characters are fun and interesting! I will see if I can find another short book in case maybe I can squeeze one more in?

message 149: by Jannene (last edited Jun 26, 2020 05:56PM) (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments **edited**

Ok all we have hands 1-4 finished. The fifth is just waiting for Cherie to finish the one book. One book for hand six. Hopefully we finish both of those so we can get points for hand 7. We have a few open spots for hand 7 two 0’s and a 6 if someone thinks they can finish a short one by noon tomorrow.

message 150: by Katrisa (new)

Katrisa | 4460 comments Ok, I am going to try to finish Crazy Brave as it just squeaks by the page limit!
It can be a 0 - stand alone
It can be a 3 - author/narrator starts with H
