I’m off tomorrow. I should finish my current reads before starting the toppler. Cherie, I plan on starting with our group read first since it is hand one for me.

We have hands 1 and 2 all assigned. Mary was kind enough to grab our last task on Hand 2.I have next Friday off again so hopefully I can finish 3 books for the Toppler. I will sign up for another one once I finish my first book.
Good morning team mates. I started listening to The Last Painting of Sara Voss and reading The Conjurer’s Riddle. I can’t see the spreadsheet from my iPod nor link to the books but I am reading!
Finished my first book - it was a quick read. I am starting Shadowfell now! Off to the garden to pull a million weeds!
I’m finished with my chores inside and on my way outside to work too. My audiobook is quite interesting. I found another to listen to after it is finished.
Rhubarb jelly. It is my first time making jelly and canning. I think I have the canning part down (used my instant pot). The jelly, I’m not so sure as it hasn’t set up.I’m starting our buddy read.
My farmer husband is stoked on me doing a toppler because weeding is one of my favorite audiobook activities - so I got a ton done in the field today! When I'm inside people keep trying to talk to me, lol!Jannene - I didn't know you can make jelly in an instant pot! one of our fields has a TON of apricots - maybe I'll have to try that once the apricots come on!
Cherie - I am interested to hear what you think of The Last Painting of Sara De Vos. I have that book slated for my Dutch task.
I have finished Under the Radar for Hand two. That was the only book I was actually signed up for. I guess I will move on to hand three. But if anyone is signed up for multiple books for hands one and two and thinks they may have taken on too much, let me know.
Katrisa - the de Vos audiobook book is very good, so far. I like the narration a lot.I’m back in the house after going grocery shopping with my daughter. My weed killer experiment is a bust (vinegar and salt on the driveway weeds). As soon as I left the house with my daughter, it started pouring down rain. It was not supposed to rain, except early this morning.
Jannene - our buddy read book is pretty good.

The book seems a lot better than the first one.
Amanda, I read my wild card wrong and took your spot for hand two, task 7. My wild will work for American Demon as it has to be a task of the same hand which fits for card 4. I hope you don’t mind, I initially read the task wrong.
Do we need a new wild for hand 1? I can put The Eye in the Door there (narrator is F - so it can match a 4 card) or tineye has the cover as black, so I could use it for the 9 in hand 3 if that's better?
Jannene, that’s ok. I will get on my laptop later and look at the spreadsheet. I was going to read American Demon later on and I think it fit a few tasks. I didn’t read as much today as I hoped. We went to my nephew’s wedding last night and I drank a little too much so wasn’t feeling that great today. I’m doing better now so back to reading.
I have a book that is a loan from the library that I have to finish this week because it's digital so they will just take it if I don't. It's a stand alone and is mostly white so those are both zeros or the author starts with R so that's draw two. So if I can fit it somewhere that would be great. It's

I'm reading Saving Ludo, planning to put it in Hand 4 Card 6. It fits:Card 0 - author starts with Z
Card 0 - stand alone
Card 6 - title starts with S
Card Skip - main character is a child (they are school age)
Card Wild
Card Wild Draw 4 - animal on cover
I am starting The Eye in the Door and One Person, No Vote: How Voter Suppression Is Destroying Our Democracy
I started The King. I can move it around, it is a mostly red cover and is #6 in a series. It can fit 1, 2, 5, and 6.
I am close to finishing my second book, which is a card 4 for hand three. I'm looking around for something to read next. I guess we are starting work on hand 4 now? I notice there is a nine-slot still open in hand three, but there was some discussion earlier about someone else filling it. I think I have something that would fit, if it is still open.
Casceil, I have Mary on the spreadsheet for the one she is reading. Everything else is open right now.
I have finished Constable Across the Moors for Hand 3, card four. It is the fourth book in a series.
Woot, you are all on a roll! I had in-laws over last night so I couldn't finish my second book. Hopefully tonight.
Finished by first book, Irena's Children: A True Story of Courage. I'll look at hand four for my next book.
I can read One Foot in Eden by Ron Rash. It will fit for card 1 (one in title, starts with O), and also Draw 2.
I finished The Cruel Prince for hand 1. It is now complete.I'm about halfway through my audiobook The Night Tiger for hand 3.
I plan to start my book for hand 4 tomorrow.
Hi Jannene - I finished our buddy read book and reported it. I can’t access the spreadsheet on my iPod, so can you point me to a score we need? I gave you an idea of what I could cover, so just throw me at something.
I’m still listening to The Last Painting of Sara de Vos. I should finish tomorrow. It is very good and a fascinating story. I love the narrator’s voice but I cannot speed up the delivery. When I do, I cannot understand him.
I finished Saving Ludo for Hand 4 Card 6 and added Haunted for Hand 4 Card 7. If anyone want to do Card 7, I can move it to Hand 5 Card 4Also, there are an open slot in Hand 4 Card 5, and Hand 5 Card 4, 4, 4, 0, 1. Hand 6-8 are all free
TrudyAn wrote: "I can read One Foot in Eden by Ron Rash. It will fit for card 1 (one in title, starts with O), and also Draw 2."I've added it to Draw 2
Can I have the 0 and 1 for Card 5? I will start reading Men We Reaped by Jesmyn Ward for the 0 and listening to Dog on It by Spencer Quinn for the 1. (This will also fit a Wild Draw 4 card for animal as MC and on the cover). They are both pretty short.
I read Telling Lies, a Sam Mason K-9 Dog Mystery, for card 9 in hand 4. I read it believing that "K-9" was part of the title, because the first page I saw for the book listed it that way. Now, when I link the book, I see that K-9 may not be part of the official title, in which case it might not really qualify as a "9" book. It is the first book in a series, and there are "1's" in later hands. Should I be looking for another 9 book, or does Telling Lies count? And if it counts, what should I read next?
