Anushree, when in the '80s did you get the book? Did you read it in the UK?

I checked the I Spy books online but it was definitely not this :(
It was probably bought in the USA.(was a gift)
Also I don't think it was a series like the I Spy books.
It had All the objects, not focused on just letters/animals/fantasy etc

Probably the most memorable feature of the book I'm talking about was that there was a little yellow duck hiding somewhere on each double-page spread. So if you don't remember the little duck, it probably isn't your book. :-)
If I remember correctly, it was an Usborne book. The numbers may have been in figures "First 1000" etc.

However, this isn't the book. Especially the yellow duck feature. It sounds so much fun, but it wasnt a part of the book :) :)
Is there a specific category for these types of books? If so I could Google further.
Anushree, are there characters and a story that runs throughout the book? Or is an picture-word encyclopedia (perhaps with a character "guide")?
Have you tried searching on Worldcat.org? It's helpful for finding old children's books. For example:
https://www.worldcat.org/advancedsear... > Keyword: illustrations ?? ?? | 1960-1992 ? | Juvenile | Fiction | Book | English

There is no story running through the book. There are illustrations from a scene in everyday life for instance a garden.
At least that's what I remember of it.
Thank you for the link, I will definitely check it

I’m intrigued by this query! I really hope you manage to locate the book. And if you do, please do post to let everyone know which book it was!

Based on your description of the cover, it looks more like Richard Scarry's Busy Busy World. https://www.amazon.com/Richard-Scarry...
I had both (and loved both) in the late 70s.

1001 Hidden Objects "series"

I guess the one I had might have been a special edition because this one doesn't have a blue cover :)
Am surprised though that I was right about its size 😂
I cannot thank you enough for your help , big big hugs. Thank you thank you :) :) :)

Time - received it as a kid in the 1980's
Language - English
Book description - This book is massive. Probably a foot by foot in size. It had a light blue hardbound cover and a dark red binding.
Book details - the book has illustrations of everyday objects. each page depicted a different scene - a house, a garden, airport, animals etc.
For instance, the house page would show various rooms, the objects in them, maybe a fly on the wall, something on the floor etc
So it was very realistic
LOVED this book as a kid and now I want my kid to read it. But sadly my mom gave mine away. And I just cannot find this book anymore
