Trying to remember the title of a book about kids who loved a book series that the author never finished, so they have to go try and find the author to convince them to finish it. I read it years ago, so I'm guessing the original publication date is somewhere from mid to late 90s or very early 2000s. I'm sorry I can't narrow it down more, I really don't remember.

Ca..." Thanks! I don't remember the location. But it was 3 or 4 kids, maybe around the 12 year old age range. They weren't siblings. I can't remember anything about the unfinished series within the book
