SOLVED. YA novel (horror, mystery?) about haunted(?) car. It's not the Haunted Car by RL Stine but in the same vein. Cover: a car, moon, possibly girl or cat on the car? [s]

I'm trying to look for a book I read when I was a teen in middle school (2003-2007), I had been binge reading RL Stine, so Goosebumps and Fear Street. I've looked at the list of FS books and it's not a part of it and it was definitely a 90's book, maybe even late 80's or early 2000's, but I remember it had a car on the cover and maybe a girl or a cat sitting on it. There was also a moon in the background that illuminated the car. Maybe it was called Moonlight or something but I cannot remember exactly. I think it was maybe a murderous car or it made people commit murders. I don't know if I'm just making stuff up but if anyone could help, that would be great.
