A picture book about a young boy who may have been called Billy. His mum goes off to work and he's too young to be left home alone so he has to stay for the day with someone called Mrs Coleman who is either his mum's friend or a neighbour. At first he really doesn't want to go and imagines what could happen to him there- being locked in a cellar and so on. But when he does stay there he really enjoys it.

I think Mrs Coleman had a large family or lots of kids she was looking after.

My sister read this book in the mid to late 2000's.
