"regardless there is a little thing in this world called common sense and he obviously needs it" he said
"Not going to disagree on that." she downed the rest of her drink. "You know I don't even know why I'm telling you all this, besides the fact that I'm drinking."
"People usually need someone to talk to after something like that" he said as he was cleaning a glass
"Actually there are a couple of studies that show women with certain personalities that go through what I've been through seek someone to have a one nighter with." she rolled her eyes at the prospect of it
"Well I guess studies speak for themselves" he said putting the glass down
"Not really, those personalities tend to be outlier personalities. Well that means personalities that aren't that common among women, you see it more in men to be honest."
"Sorry I don't mean to be offensive. Life has shown that women need to find one guy who is going to be completely dedicated to her because she has to carry a baby for nine months and then continue to provide after birth because the baby is still highly dependent. Men on the other hand have the instinct that have sex with many women in the hopes of creating several offspring, thus spreading their genes and increasing the likely hood of them having someone to depend on if need be." she then realized that she getting tipsy, simply because she was spewing facts. "What did you do? Give me half a glass of vodka?"
He chuckled "alright" he said as he poured her a glass of vodka "but not all men are like that you have to remember humans are a flawed species it's bound to happen" he said
"What. No I didn't mean that I literally wanted you to give me one, I thought that's what you had done." she took the glass anyway and resolved to simply sip it.
"You should drink a bit too, I feel bad." she muttered
"You're no fun." she rolled her eyes and took a sip
"Yeah but you do work in a bar. Plus you are your own boss, meaning you could have a drink and not get in trouble. Besides it's just us in here." she told him reasonably
"Yea but I don't want to trash the place when I'm drunk" he said
"Then get tinsy tipsy." she shrugged
"I'm fine thanks just enjoy your drink" he said
He smiled it was a slow day today for some reason
"I guess that's a good thing though. Not as many drinking and driving, going home to beat their families, and any number of things."
She took another sip, followed by two more.
She glanced over the rim of the glass. "Yes?" she asked setting it down again
"Why? I mean its not like you really care, you just want the money. Besides people get wasted in here all the time I'm sure."
"That's true but I do care about my patrons" he said
"I would just really like to stop thinking about it." she frowned and rubbed her temples
"Start what over?" she asked confuswd
"Like start over completely forget about him and start with some one new"he said
"Because its that easy to snatch a great guy up. Especially after going through an abusive relationship, psych major remember." she thought of all the statistics and studies about relationships
"I'm just going to give up on dating for a while." she shook her head.
"Is that you talking or the alcohol talking?" He asked
It had not been a good week for Markus, and it was evident by the dark colouring of the skin under his eyes. His tall form stepped into the bar and was surprised at the lack of patrons as he ran a hand in his dark sodden hair. Again, he glanced around before taking a seat at the bar, leaning forward slightly as he waited to catch the bartender in a free moment.
"Probably both if I'm being honest" she glanced at the new person and shoed him away so he could get the guys order
Mike went over to the new customer "welcome to cheers what can I get you?" He asked
In the mean time Alexis downed the rest of her drink since Mike had his back turned to her and couldn't say anything about it.

(Sorry, had no free time)Markus glanced over at the girl and gave her a small, grateful smile before turning back towards the bartender "Just a tanqueray and tonic" he spoke, voice hinting lightly at an English descent.
((Totally understand that, I'm pretty sure he does too.))
(Understood work can cause for me to go all day without replying)He nodded and walked over to the drinks and began to make the man his drink
"I don't bite." Alexis offered wondering if the other patron wanted to scoot down. Sure she hasn't meant to talk since she had sat down but maybe this guy did need to, plus it would be easier on their drinks as well.
Markus once again glanced over at girl, slightly surprised at the offer, but he allowed himself to relax, lips lightly tipping up into a smirk. " And what if I like girls who bite?" he spoke, meekly joking as he moved closer to her, awaiting his drink.
