ABANDONED. Fantasy Medieval novel that starts with the main protagonist waking up from a battle with a hoard of humanoid creatures. Main Cover has a stone tower on it. This novel is quite graphic and long. I read this from 2012ish to 2015

The book begins as this inexperienced soldier marches to battle. His unit is completely overrun by humanoid creatures that humans have been battling with for a long time. He is knocked out by a explosion and precedes to be flung into a house and blacks out. He awakes to crawl his way to a pond where he meets a wounded humanoid creature. They precede to burn the bodies of their fallen comrades. After some time they have to go into hiding on a mountain range. There they stumble across an old knight who trains them to be expert soldiers. After they are confident in there abilities they go off the mountain range and come across this large abandoned tower. It is stock full of the best armor, swords, and gunpowder technology. The main protagonist precedes to take a 4 barreled flintlock pistol as one of his sidearms. After they load up on supplies his group comes across a small town being attacked by the humanoid creatures. The townspeople let him in on the condition that they will fight for the town. After successfully defending the walls the main protagonist convinces the townspeople to mount a Calvary charge into the attackers flank. This attack works and the townspeople flock to swell the main characters ranks.

The main and final battle consists of the main protagonist laying siege to a multilayered castle. After breaking through the fires few walls but suffering great casualties the main character takes down the defenders dragon and infiltrates their keep to direct a cannon at the final gate and blowing it up from the inside letting his army in.

I do apologize if there is not a lot of info to go on. I had this novel on my Kindle Fire in 2012-2015 but I have lost that Kindle and I can’t access my account to find the novels name anymore
