June 2020 NetGalley Challenge:May was a disastrous month from a feedback ratio standpoint. I reviewed 2 books, but added 8, and my feedback ratio dipped to 81%. Here's hoping I get more reading done in June!

Finished my first review for June!
Little Creeping Thing reviewThis brought me back down to single digits with 9 books left on my shelf and brought my ratio up to 95%! I'm hoping to get 3 more NetGalleys read this month - two that published in April that I didn't get to and one that publishes the end of the month to keep me on track.
Well done Krsitie!
I also got one of my list. Although I don't have many books, they are all a bit old so I need to get stuck into a few this month

I finished
The House Guest and rated it 5 stars.Saying less is better because some of you have it on your list. It is well worth a read.
Karen ⊰✿ wrote: "well done!"Thanks! I may put off the book that publishes the end of the month and read something else first. I'm in the mood for something different.
Finished my third review for the month! And I am officially caught up! Well, except for one book that is 2 years old...
Little Secrets reviewI am currently reading two NetGalleys, both future publications. I can't remember the last time I didn't have recently published books to catch up on.
I am nowhere near caught up but got one done that I have been working on for three months. The Book of Eels: Our Enduring Fascination with the Most Mysterious Creature in the Natural World was only 2 stars and I really should avoid popular science books. They mostly make me angry with their poor research and lack of citations. I have 20 ARCs, of which 14 are already published and back at 80%.
I've been there, Lexi. For a while I had mostly books that were already published. It took me a long while to catch up. It definitely sets you back when you have one that doesn't grab you and takes a long time to read. You can do it!
It was my train book back in March when I got to leave my house as I made myself read it on the train. I have not been on the train for 3 months so my motivation for reading it was zero.
I ran into a similar issue in March and ended up in a slump. I had no motivation to read and had to really push myself through every book. I didn't read much at all for over 2 months. I just started really reading again over the past couple of weeks.
I finished a second one for the month. Doing better this month!
The Swap - Getting to love this author. She writes about over the top characters who get into crazy situations. Just what I need right now!
I added a book and started it already. I was looking for a book to read with my grandson tonight, so we checked out the 'read now' section and found Name Tags and Other Sixth-Grade Disasters. He wanted something funny and it looked like it might fit. So far, I think it was a good choice. We're both enjoying it and the MC is pretty funny in my opinion. Hopefully, we'll finish it by the end of the month.

That does sound like the right kind of book for the times!

Odd question... I submitted a review to Netgalley earlier today and went to check my feedback ratio. It was at 95% showing 62 out of 65 complete. I only have two books left on my shelf and when you go to the feedback tab on your shelf, it shows I've submitted feedback for 63 books. So, my profile is off by one book. Has anyone ever had this problem?

I've had this happen a few times. It has always fixed itself after a day or two. No idea why it happens, but sometimes it takes a few days for a submitted feedback to take in your profile.
Ah, thanks Melanie! I've been a member of NG for years and in 63 books, this has never happened before!
Maritza wrote: "It's happened to me when I didn't download a book that I got approved for."That almost makes sense, I guess, but all of mine are downloaded in some manner. Technology is touchy, what can I say? :)

It happened to me too. I was so worried. But then a couple days later everything was where it should have been. Computer glitch, I guess.
Vicki: I probably wouldn't have been so concerned, but I'm so close to having 100% feedback. Hahaha! I'm glad yours went back in a couple days. Mine's still wonky but I'll check again on Monday. Thank you!

Wow... that doesn't publish until April 13th 2021! You have so much time!
Hopefully Lexi!
Yes, Kristie that made me feel ok about requesting as all of my current books are past publication date! 😀

I finished another
The Dilemma and it was so good!I read it in 2 sittings and could not put it down.
It was different than the author's usual books, but it is my favorite one she has written.

Awesome! I'm anxiously awaiting this book! LOL
I added another -
The Good Sister: A Novel. I've read two other books by Sally Hepworth and really enjoyed them, so I couldn't resist the widget. Honestly, I would have requested it anyway. Plus, it doesn't publish until April 13th, so I have plenty of time to read it.
