Raven Forrest (ravenforrest) | 8 comments I'm trying to create a rating system for when I am reading and judging the book.

I'm not sure what you mean ... like, 1 star=hated it, 2 stars=it was okay, etc.?

Raven Forrest (ravenforrest) | 8 comments That's just a basic system for rating make it easy for the reader to use, which is why it's used on Goodreads and Netflix, so suggestions are easier to pick. What I'm talking about is a analysis based system, (examples - THEME, CHARACTERS, PLOT).
I've come up with CULMINATION (Story Progression), LANGUAGE (what Words are used), SETTING, and PLOT. I want to have at least 10.

Isaac | 8014 comments Oh man, I adore creating rating systems. Make sure to include characterization, because that's always important. Perhaps maybe something on the effectiveness on the message? But maybe that's too specific.

Raven Forrest (ravenforrest) | 8 comments Yah, that be in CHARACTERS. But it's good to be specific, because the specific stuff would under CHARACTERS to help determine how well the book does with the category.

Ah okay, I see what you mean. So maybe like Character Development, Theme/Message, Pacing, Description, Dialogue ... things like that?
