Penni | 816 comments I finished Magic Stars (Kate Daniels, #8.5, Grey Wolf, #1) by Ilona Andrews and it was awesome as expected.

I'm still listening to White Night (The Dresden Files, #9) by Jim Butcher which is exciting and hard to put down and reading Sweet Sinful Nights (Sinful Nights, #1) by Lauren Blakely which has an enticing title and cover and really isn't anything out of the ordinary so far.

Just curious, Paula - Did you read the other books in this series first?

I've always struggled with the reading order of this series. Everything I've read says read in order of release - Sempre (Forever, #1) by J.M. Darhower Sempre Redemption (Forever, #2) by J.M. Darhower Friends & Forever (Forever, #0.5 & #2.5) by J.M. Darhower and last is Made A Sempre Novel by J.M. Darhower . I'm told there are spoilers from book 1 in Made .4. I cannot, however, find a definite reading order from the author other than by date of release.

I read Sempre. Yes Sandra I did struggle to finish the book but thought i would give this one a try. Her books are really long and extremely dark.

I haven't started the series yet, Paula. But I love the dark, emotional reads so I really think I'll love it. I only meant that I was confused about which book to read first. GRs list the .4 (Made) book first, of course, and yet it's the last book released. Other sites recommend reading them in release order. Makes you wonder why Made is labeled as a .4 and not just a 3 since it's a full length additional book. But who knows...I find this type thing often in series. I have tentatively penciled it in my Jan. series challenge so we'll see if I get to book 1 or not.

I finished Rolling in the Deep by Rebecca Rogers Maher and it was just okay. The heroine was just uninspiring. Review to come.

I also finished listening to the final book in The Hunger Games Trilogy, Mockingjay, and struggled with it but liked the ending. Here's my review.

I'm now reading Controlled Burn by Shannon Stacey, Boston Heat #2 (loving it) and listening to The Gamble by Kristen Ashley, Colorado Mountain #1.

Dear Maggie,
You'll love reading her books. I personally love her Blossom Street series and her Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy novels the best out of all her books. She also has wonderful Prayer Shawl crochet and knitting books which have patterns to beautiful projects to make for family friends or yourself. I hope you really enjoy her book because she is an awesome author that has many books on my "keeper" shelf.
Sincerely Yours,
Jina
