I finished Kill For Me by Karen Rose last night because I couldn't put the book down. It was the most crazy reading ride! Here's my review. I'm ready for book #10 in the series but always need to take a break between Rose's stories.

I'm now reading Falling for the P.I. by Victoria James, first book in her new Still Harbor series.

I just finished - Wow! I don't know what else I can say about the many talents of Karin Slaughter. I liked (given the circumstances) how she brought a character from GC into the WT series at this point...won't say who because of spoilers.

I'm starting an ARC of - so excited and yet a little sad to read the last book of the series.

I finished listening to The Secret Sister by Brenda Novak, Fairham Island #1, a romance with a mystery element. I enjoyed the story, made better by the narrator, Carly Robins. Here's my review.

I also finished reading Falling for the P.I. by Victoria James, first book in the Still Harbor series. It was just okay and here's my review.

I'm now reading Salvation by Robin Covington, Nashville Nights #2, and listening to Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay.

Finished Gansett After Dark and Kisses After Dark by Marie Force to get caught up before the new McCarthy's of Gansett Island release next week. A really interesting, character-driven CR series.

Also finished The Promise by Robyn Carr (Thunder Point #5 - similar to the Gansett series) and Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill (Chicagoland Vampires #1). This looks like a competitor for the other top UF series'. Liked the first person narrative and interesting characters. More after #2.

Finished Fantastic! This book was so emotional. Loved it. I'm now reading/listening to loving it and reading which is definitely out of my comfort zone but really good. Also reading for a challenge.

So many get thrown by the futuristic environment. Glad you didn't. It's not the significant thrust of the stories.

oh i haven't started either of the Robyn Carr series I have sitting waiting to read. Virgin River and Thunder Point. Do you like her writing? I might have to bump it up in my get to reading it priority!

Love, love love Robyn Carr. My first was Virgin River. I'm now keeping pace with Thunder Point, which sometimes feels more weighted to contemporary fiction though there's still a romance.

Jonetta's comment is right on the money. Really enjoy both series as breaks from the more intense urban fantasy that I've been hooked on recently. Definitely not steamy romance, but there are character hook-ups in both series and continuing character build-up as the series progresses. Very likable characters. Love Thunder Point (closing in on being caught up) and just on #2 in Virgin River.

Just finished no time for goodbye by Linwook Barkley. all I can say is it was ok. it was in the 3rd person and although the ending was pretty good I am glad this isn't a series because I probably wouldn't continue. at least I don't think it is. already started Festive in death in audio version. just couldn't help myself. have also started listening to Hello Darling. going to start reading Blonde Hair Blues by Karin Slaughter which is the prequel to pretty girls which comes out in September. up next will be Malice by Lisa Clark O'Neill.

I finished Hot Pursuit by Lynn Raye Harris, Hostile Operations Team #1. It was just okay and here's my review.

I also finished Exposing the Heiress by Jennifer Apodaca, Once a Marine #3, and loved it. Here's my review.

I'm now reading Three Fates by Nora Roberts.
