What are you reading in 2015?
I think she's a very writer, I just never connected with the characters in this series, I'm not really sure why.
I finished Bringing Home the Bad Boy by Jessica Lemmon, Second Chances #1, and enjoyed it, despite a too-angsty heroine. Here's my review.
I also finished Worth the Risk by Claudia Connor, McKinney Brothers #2, and enjoyed it, too, especially the inclusion of the characters from the first book. Here's my review.
I'm now starting Midnight Shadows by Ella Grace, Wildefire #3.

I'm in the middle of great new science fiction find, The Three-Body Problem
by Liu Cixin. It's nominated for both the Hugo and Nebula Awards and is by the #1 science fiction author in China.
Jonetta wrote: gave up on Coulter's series after #4. That book was pretty bad and the series was uneven for me. LOVE the Lucky Harbor series! One thing to note...she does the series in groups of threes (separate groups of three friends/sisters, give or take a couple of novellas).
I may have to just completely give up on coulters FBI series. It has some elements that start to pull me in and then just nope. I just have a bunch of the books sitting around and started reading so I kept going, hoping!
Lucky Harbor I am definitely just in love with from this book 1 and hope it does stay that way!

I've finished the Lucky Harbor series and it holds up wonderfully. Very consistent reading experience.

Just finished Reagan's redemption by Cate Beauman book 8 of the bodyguards of LA county series. I can't remember who gave the recommendation but it was one of you lovely ladies. This is a great series I bought the first 2 based on what was said and was hooked ended up binge reading through the 8 books and can't wait for the new one to come out. You huys never lead me astray with your recommendations. Thank you. Except now I am behind with my studies. No more binge reading for the next few weeks for me. :)
Lol! I've only read the first two so you've soared past me (doing a Sheri):). Glad you enjoyed the series.
I am currently reading
and it is awesome. I have been waiting a long time to read a book that featured Eve Duncan and it was well worth the wait. Still waiting patiently for the next book in the Eve Duncan series to come out.
I skipped the entire Eve Duncan series but fell in love with Kendra Michaels. There are just sooo many books in that series. It is like In Death on how far back I would be. But I did pick up a couple of the audios really cheap a few months ago. Is it a series that must be read in order?
yes it does need to be read in order and very much worth the read. I love them. I love Joe and Eve. Kendra Michaels has a new book coming out this summer and Eve is going to be featured in that book as well. eve Duncan, Kendra Michaels and Catherine Kings series all intertwine together
Just finished reading
and It was really good. I love those suspense edge of your seat type books and Iris Johansen never disappoints. Now listening to
. Next will be reading
. Has anyone read The Liar yet. Just wondering about your thoughts on the book.

I've read it. I liked it but more so because of the narrator and because I quickly figured out it was more contemporary romance. Here's my review.

so i guess the question will be is it a book i would enjoy. I have a hard time with romance. I have to have the suspense factor
Quynh wrote: "Starting book 2, Return to Me by Christy Reece. Samara is more feisty than I figured her for. :)"I loved Samara. This is such a good book in this series.

Finished reading When Gravity Fails
by George Alec Effinger yesterday.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished listening toPossession in Death. I am currently downloading the Last Chance audiobook on overdrive and about half way through reading The Silent Girl

It just keeps getting better, too.

I finished listening to Hooked by Tiffinie Helmer, Romance on the Edge #2, narrated by Mia Chiaromonte, and really enjoyed it. The narrator improved in her performance of the suspense aspects from the first book. Here's my review.
I finished reading Midnight Shadows by Ella Grace, Wildefire #3, and loved it! This final book in the trilogy was much more suspenseful than the first two. We're trying to convince the author to do a spinoff or a novella for a couple of the characters from the story.
I am now reading The Bridge to a Better Life by Ava Miles, Dare Valley #8, and am listening to Sweet Release by Pamela Clare, Blakewell/Kenleigh #1.

I've been reading Gun, With Occasional Music by Jonathan Lethem, a noir detective novel set in a dystopia, where animals and babies are "evolved" and the printed word is outlawed.
Am reading Treasure Island for the very first time, and just finished A Little Life that knocked my socks off! Whew!
I am currently reading Last Chance and I wasn't sure what I would think about McKenna because she wasn't a big part of the other books. she made appearances but then would be gone. I am loving this book.

I was in the same place and ended up loving her story.

Shari Kay wrote: "Thanks ladies! I will definitely be checking this series out!"You won't be disappointed....it is an awesome series.
LOL Shari Kay! I remember thinking the same thing when I read Mystery Man. And that went on a long time...
HaHa! I know...it was a strange situation to go on & on & on without more info. Little unbelievable.
Feeling better Jonetta!! Not able to hold a book yet but thank goodness for the Kindle; it's made for people who have just had hand surgery. Until I can hold an actual book I'm finally reading some books that have been on my Kindle for a long time.
Completed "Crossed", the Taylor Jackson prequel by JT Ellison contained in Sweet Dreams Boxed Set (Thirteen NEW Thrillers by Bestselling Authors to Benefit Diabetes Research). Full length and terrific. Features a very broken Taylor and an even more broken Baldwin. Also in "Sweet Dreams", finished Alex Kava's "Before Evil", a Maggie O'Dell prequel that was short and disappointing since it had no ending; couldn't even call it a cliffhanger. Now reading CJ Lyons' contribution "Bad Break", a Lucy Guardino bridge story between her kick-axx FBI career and whatever her kick-axx future becomes. Very good, thus far. Allison Brennan's story up next.
For me, the Taylor Jackson book was worth the 'price of admission' all by itself. Everything else will be gravy.

Good to hear! Another reason for the Kindle.

Just finished
and it was awesome. Talk about a heart racing suspense. Of course there was one part of the ending that didn't suprise me. I saw it coming almost from the beginning. Still working on
. This one has been slow going for me. Not because I have not enjoyed it but I have gotten distracted from other books that it kept getting put on the back burner. Hopefully will be able to finish it this weekend. I am also going to Listen to fantasy in death. it finally became available at the library. I have already read Indulgence and Possession so going a little out of order but will still go forth.
Shari Kay wrote: "Reading
struggling. Love K.A. most of the time... but I cannot seem to get past the premise. Mind boggling."Shari, I struggled with this one also. I was so glad when it ended. I have since gone on to read more of her books, and to me the characters seem to be the same…..really macho men and women who initially appear strong but fall apart when they fall in love with said macho men. Just finished her book Soaring and the characters all reminded me of characters in her other books. My favorite of her books so far is The Gamble.

That's the series I'm talking about, Maggie (FBI). That fourth book was...just wrong. I even own all the books!
I've heard good things about her historical romances.
