I am hopelessly hooked to the Fatal series. I finished Fatal Mistake by Marie Force, book #6, and here's my review. Loved it.
I jumped right into the next book, Fatal Jeopardy and got so intrigued I'm already halfway through.

Each book dovetails into the next. There's quite a bit of similarity between it and the In Death series...the timeline for each book is about two to three months, the heroine, Sam Holland, is a homicide detective and heads up the division and she's often a bit caustic, and her love interest is a dreamboat. Also, her secondary characters are developing similarly to how Robb develops hers. It's not as in depth but the framework is there.
The cases are also very, very interesting. Sam isn't as skilled, IMHO, as Eve Dallas, though. She's good and leads her team really well but doesn't have that "Eve" factor that's hard to put your finger on.
Can you tell I'm hooked?:)

I completed by binge read of the Fatal series, finishing with Fatal Jeopardy (my review) and Fatal Scandal (my review). Now I've got to wait until September. Guess that's the downside of catching up:)
I'm now reading A Scoundrel by Moonlight by Anna Campbell, Sons of Sin #4, another series where I'll be up to date when I'm done.

I am now listening to the third and I final in Julia London's Pine River trilogy, The Perfect Homecoming. Heads up the hero in this novel works for Thrillseeker Anonymous which is a previous series by London. I have not read the TA series.

I enjoyed Summer Knight, too. Nonstop action.
I gave up on Coulter's series after #4. That book was pretty bad and the series was uneven for me.
LOVE the Lucky Harbor series! One thing to note...she does the series in groups of threes (separate groups of three friends/sisters, give or take a couple of novellas).
