By Kendra Elliott? I have the book but haven't read it yet. Several of my friends have and rated it either 4 or 5 stars.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 9 comments I have not read that one but I really like Allison Brennan's writing.

I am hopelessly hooked to the Fatal series. I finished Fatal Mistake by Marie Force, book #6, and here's my review. Loved it.

I jumped right into the next book, Fatal Jeopardy and got so intrigued I'm already halfway through.

Each book dovetails into the next. There's quite a bit of similarity between it and the In Death series...the timeline for each book is about two to three months, the heroine, Sam Holland, is a homicide detective and heads up the division and she's often a bit caustic, and her love interest is a dreamboat. Also, her secondary characters are developing similarly to how Robb develops hers. It's not as in depth but the framework is there.

The cases are also very, very interesting. Sam isn't as skilled, IMHO, as Eve Dallas, though. She's good and leads her team really well but doesn't have that "Eve" factor that's hard to put your finger on.

Can you tell I'm hooked?:)

I completed by binge read of the Fatal series, finishing with Fatal Jeopardy (my review) and Fatal Scandal (my review). Now I've got to wait until September. Guess that's the downside of catching up:)

I'm now reading A Scoundrel by Moonlight by Anna Campbell, Sons of Sin #4, another series where I'll be up to date when I'm done.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 9 comments I finished listening New York to Dallas by JD Robb and loved it. It was an intense book! I also listened to the novella, Chaos in Death which was not a favourite for me.

I am now listening to the third and I final in Julia London's Pine River trilogy, The Perfect Homecoming. Heads up the hero in this novel works for Thrillseeker Anonymous which is a previous series by London. I have not read the TA series.

I finished Last Words by Stacy Green, Delta Detectives #4, and loved it, though I knew I would. Here's my review.

I also finished listening to Every Which Way But Dead by Kim Harrison, The Hollows #3. Despite it being rather long it still was interesting. Review to come.

I'm now reading Bringing Home the Bad Boy by Jessica Lemmon, Second Chances #1, and listening to Hooked by Tiffinie Helmer, Romance on the Edge #2.

Courtney (sekay88) Finished Shannon Mayer's Rylee Adamson #2 and #3, Immune (Rylee Adamson, #2) by Shannon Mayer Raising Innocence (Rylee Adamson, #3) by Shannon Mayer . This is a fun, action-packed, easy-to-read series. Rylee is putting together the most fun & interesting "pack"/family that I've seen.

Started Hamilton's Anita Blake #1 Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton . Very good so far.

message 848: by Vera (new)

Vera M. | 446 comments what Ive read since last I posted:
Summer Knight (The Dresden Files, #4) by Jim Butcher - So far my favorite Dresden book.
The Art Forger by Barbara A. Shapiro - kind of interesting, but wasn't really a subject that pulled me in.
Knock Out (FBI Thriller, #13) by Catherine Coulter - probably so far my least favorite of this series. I find the series just okay overall and sometimes don't know why I keep going, but there is something about it I keep wanting to read or hoping for from it.
Priceless (Rylee Adamson, #1) by Shannon Mayer - A good start to an Urban Fantasy series. It's typical while putting a different spin on the supernatural creatures. Good enough I purchased the next two that were on sale at amazon still.
Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1) by Jill Shalvis - another recommended by my mother-in-law series. It was a big hit for me. Sweet, Steamy, and had be laughing out loud. Lucky for me she loaned me a bunch of the series to read through!

I enjoyed Summer Knight, too. Nonstop action.

I gave up on Coulter's series after #4. That book was pretty bad and the series was uneven for me.

LOVE the Lucky Harbor series! One thing to note...she does the series in groups of threes (separate groups of three friends/sisters, give or take a couple of novellas).

message 850: by Maggie (new)

Maggie | 1576 comments I'm a big Coulter fan except for her FBI series. I read the first 4 or 5 books then gave up on it, I never even finished the last one I started. I do LOVE her historical romances.
