I like Mercy more, but then she's had more books to make me love her. (Also, the books are set in my home town, so I'm biased.)

I finished What a Duke Dares, Sons of Sin #3, and loved, loved, loved it! This is the Anna Campbell I've enjoyed in the past.
I also finished listening to Dead Run by P.J. Tracy and really enjoyed the story. It was harrowing most if the time but the author balanced it with the humorous banter between the main characters.
I'm now starting my binge read of the rest of the Fatal series by Marie Force, beginning with Fatal Flaw, book #4. I'm also listening to The Liar by Nora Roberts.

It's one I've actually dreaded starting, Penni. But this one & one more and I've completed the series so I'm going ahead.

And you have to know when the author posts a letter to readers in the front of the book that warns you that it's the most graphic, devastating one of a series that's been as brutal as this one, it's got to be bad. And still I'm reading it...not even sure why other than to complete the series.

I can deal with dark. I can deal with graphic. I can deal with sad. But. That being said. Ending with the characters in a decent place would be really nice.

And I'm with you on that! I know there is eventually a hea...for those left standing at the end. It's getting through the deaths of those lost along the journey that's hard.

I've also been reading my interlibrary loan And Did Murder Him by Peter Turnbull, a police procedural set in Glasgow, Scotland.

That's up next for me in that series too. But can't get to it quite yet.

The author is a talented writer...very good. The subject manner is tough in that she portrays it as realistically as she deems it to be with rival MC's & cartels battling & innocent people getting hurt. It's got a lot of good but also a lot of pain & devastating losses. You just have to go into it knowing that no one is safe...bad things happen. They deal with it and move on the best they can. I've got one more book to finish the series & I'll be glad to be done.
I finished Fatal Deception by Marie Force, Fatal #5, and loved it 4.5 ★.
I'm now reading Fatal Mistake, Fatal #6. Enjoying this binge read of the series as there are so many relationships in flux.

You'll like Cussler's books. Light reading. Lot of different series. The most unique is the Isaac Bell series (the newest) in that it takes place at the turn of the 20th Century, a period of time that few action/adventure writers cover, at least in my experience.

Finished reading Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter #7, Archangel's Shadows. Another terrific book in what is becoming a great series to rival Kate Daniels and Mercy Thompson (yet all three are quite different). Building a terrific set of secondary characters for a long-term series. Was ticked when I discovered that #8 won't be out for five months.

I remember the fits she gave Eve! Exciting book.

Will do.

My problem is I want to read everything! haha Just not enough time. I'm working on finishing several series I have started now.

... maybe just truth. Wait til you read A&O #2 and Anna starts to really figure things out. I'm beginning to think that the Mercy/A&O series may be the In Death of UF.
I'm following that Mercy Thompson's World GR page that you referenced a couple of months ago. Thought I'd repeat for others who might be interested.
