I finished listening to Total Surrender by Rebecca Zanetti and it was the best of the series. Seems as she's left the door open for a spinoff.

I'm now listening to Manwhore by Katy Evans.

I'm sure I will, Paula. I love the way Sandra Brown writes & weaves plotlines. She always manages to surprise me a time or two. Really hoping to squeeze Envy in by the end of the month. We'll see how it goes.

Jonetta, I really enjoyed Total Surrender too. And the author really managed to set up a scenario for a spin off series for sure!

I finished listening to Manwhore by Katy Evans, first book in the series of the same name. I had no idea when I got the book from NetGalley and the audio from the publisher that it was part of the series. It was just okay for me and I'm annoyed that it ends in a cliffhanger.

I'm now listening to Dead Run by P.J. Tracy. Two hours in and I'm happy:)

Courtney (sekay88) Finished Allison Brennan's new Compulsion (Max Revere, #2) by Allison Brennan , Max Revere #2 and Jeaniene Frost's Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost , Night Huntress #1.

Brennan's "Compulsion" is superb in all respects. The first two books in the series remind me very much of the first two In Death books in that Max Revere is driven and not particularly likeable in #1 (but still a great book) and starts seeing life differently in this even better episode, much like Eve in ID.

Frost's "Halfway...." is the first featuring vampire killer Cat Crawfield. Read this because she was rated #2 hard-axxed heroine behind #1 Kate Daniels. Ranking well deserved. Looks like a great character and series.

Started Patricia Brigg's Mercy Thompson #4, Bone Crossed (Mercy Thompson, #4) by Patricia Briggs . Going to be hard to top Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson, #3) by Patricia Briggs which was one of the most gut-wrenching books that I've read in a while.

Kris (My Novelesque Life) (mynovelesquelife) | 9 comments I just completed another great intense book Running Blind (Book 4) Lee Child! It had been awhile since I read his last novel and I loved how Child gave you an overview without too many spoilers. He is such an interesting character. I could not get into anything else last night after two action packed books so don't know what my next read will be...on my lunch break I am sure I will find something :)

You'll love the Alpha & Omega series, Jonetta. Sadly there aren't that many, but just as good as Mercy Thompson. I think that her latest release is an A&O book.

Just finished Mercy #4, [bookcover:Bone Crossed|3128411], and it was quite a follow-up to Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson, #3) by Patricia Briggs which I didn't think could be done.

Almost finished with Night Huntress #2, One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost , and it is just as good as the first. Cat & Bones absolutely give Kate & Curran a run for their spot at the top of the kick-axx chart.

Up next is Archangel's Shadows (Guild Hunter, #7) by Nalini Singh , Guild Hunter #7.
