SOLVED. Children's book (written by a woman, I think), with the word "Summer" in the title [s]

I read this book probably about 8 years ago, but I'm not sure how old it is. The main character is a young girl that lives with her mother, I think near the beach, and every chapter is about a different adventure she has. I am almost certain the book's title contains the word "Summer" and/or "Stories" and a number, so something like "Summer of 100 stories" or "A hundred stories of summer" (which aren't it). Also, I think there's a story where the girl travels in a hot air balloon with a man.
I know this isn't much information at all, but I can't think of anything else that would help. Thanks!
